Reviews :
There are many misconceptions regarding the Vedic rituals, and even Samskaras also, among the people in general. Shri Ashok Mishra ji has described the Vedik rituals and Samskaras also very correctly and in a very good manner. This book is not a product of an amateur scholar but of a rather professional scholar I will say, and therefore I congratulate him.” -Dr. G U Thite, An eminent Sanskritist and Indologist, an International Seminar was arranged at Berkeley, University Of California, USA (2016) on Dr. G U Thite.Emeritus Professor, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune, General Editor, Mahabharata Cultural Index, Bhandarkar O. R. Institute, ex Professor and Head of the Department of Sanskrit and Prakrit languages, University of Pune.“I think one of the biggest credit we can give to the book and the author is that he has surveyed long history of thoughts, concepts, ideas, rituals, and other things which are associated with our Brahmanical and Puranic religion as I would like to call it, and this great job has been done by Mr Ashok Mishra (so) I would like to thank him.” -Dr. Vibha Tripathi, Emeritus Professor Department of Ancient History, Culture and Archaeology, Banaras Hindu University is an established authority in the field of Proto- historic & Early – Historic Archaeolometallurgy, she has published 100 research papers.“When I googled Hinduism books, I found about One crore 18 lakh results in 39 seconds. So the question which came up in my mind was that whether this book was just an addition to that list or is it going to stand out? It places bare facts before the readers without being coloured politically and ideological but at the same time acquaints the reader with ideological readings done by many scholars. The methodology which is followed over here and also all over the book is that of tracing up to the roots of a particular idea or concept. So when it is puranas he has traced the origin and the development of this idea, classification of the Puranas, and the classification of time also.. I congratulate the author for this valuable addition in this Sarasvata world. This will satisfy the queries raised by the inquisitive mind regarding Hinduism and the book will surely stand out for generations to come.” -Dr. Madhavi Narsalay, Professor and Former HOD, Sanskrit, University of Mumbai. Her area of Specialization is Veda and Vedanta, Indian Aesthetics and Mythology“An excellent contribution to our knowledge on the growth and efficacy of Hindu religious beliefs, rituals and practices as they have evolved.” -Subhash C. Kashyap, Padma Bhushan, authored over 100 books, Former Secretary General of Lok Sabha“Those who are curious about Hinduism, Sanatan Dharma and related aspects must go through this book.” -Rakesh Tewari, Former Director General, Archaeological Survey of India“Engaging, simple, yet profound it makes you think through various dimensions of our culture and traditions.” -Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai, Deputy Director, CIILS, University of Mumbai, Bestselling author of Chanakya series of books
