Introducing exclusively on Amazon genuine fire and rhythm series djembe head made with shaved black goat skin leather. The traditional african style djembes uses black shaved goat skin for djembe heads as the natural elasticity remains intact, compared to the white djembe heads. In processing the white djembe head quick lime is used which acts as a whiting agent but also compromises the natural elasticity. But in the traditional african style natural elasticity of leather is not compromised and gives a far superior sound and tone quality compared to the white djembe head.
